From her Suits days to her time as a working member of the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex has stuck to the same tried-and-tested make-up look for years. By now, you’ll know it well: fresh, dewy skin – emphasis on those natural freckles – a slight smoky eye and a nude lip. Meghan has rarely strayed from this combination during her time in the glare of the global spotlight, whether on a primary school visit or at a palace.
However, to join her husband Prince Harry in Vancouver this week, as the couple mark the start of the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games 2025, the Duchess dabbled in something of a new look. Her glam was familiar – aside from her noticeably fuller brows.
Meghan knows the power the brows have to frame the eyes, and make an otherwise bare face appear more defined. Likely deploying a new brow pencil – one of our favourites is Victoria Beckham Beauty’s BabyBlade for precision and pigment – the Duchess’s beauty mood suggests that rumours of the skinny brow’s return have been greatly exaggerated. It’s not happening on Meghan’s watch.
Anastasia Soare, founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills and brow artist to the stars, previously told Vogue how to create the perfect natural brow at home: “You want to mimic a full, natural eyebrow by creating strokes of hair, combining a lighter pomade base with darker hair strokes.”
